Cómo llegar
Train to Berwick-upon-Tweed
Berwick-upon-Tweed station is on the East Coast Main Line, which crosses the Tweed on the Royal Border Bridge. From Berwick, continue by bus, taxi or car to the causeway. 1
Bus to Holy Island
English Heritage names Travelsure, Arriva and Glen Valley buses for the priory, and gives 20% off a walk-up ticket if you show a bus ticket. Buses only run when the causeway is open; Berwick Tourist Information Centre has the times. 2

On foot by the Pilgrims' Way
A marked route crosses the sands. The council's road times do not apply to it: walk it in daylight with someone who knows the route, never on a rising tide, and finish before the middle of the safe period. 3
Una vez allí
A pie
The island is small. The village, priory, church and harbour are close together, and paths lead to the castle, the lime kilns and the dunes. 4
By bike
Visit Northumberland says cycling the causeway is popular, and that Good Times Bike Hire near Berwick hires e-bikes and pedal bikes. Check the tide times first. 4
