With a car
By car and Park & Ride
Bath is near the M4 and M5. The council runs Park & Ride from Lansdown, Newbridge and Odd Down, with buses to the center in about 10 minutes, according to Visit Bath. The city also has a Clean Air Zone; cars are exempt. 3
Park & Ride
Visit Bath lists three Park & Ride sites, open seven days a week, with buses into the center at least every 15 minutes taking about 10 minutes. It says parking is free if you ride the bus. The council recommends Park & Ride because the center has one-way streets and bus lanes. 4
Parking in the center
Council parking lots charge according to vehicle emissions, and you enter your registration number when you pay, so a diesel car can cost more. Visit Bath suggests checking live parking lot occupancy online before you go. 4
Clean Air Zone
The council says cars and motorbikes are not charged in Bath's Clean Air Zone, whatever their emissions. Commercial vehicles, including taxis and private hire vehicles, do pay. 5
Clean Air Zone
