When a fact on Britlens turns out to be wrong or out of date, we fix the page and record it here. Small changes that do not alter a fact (spelling, layout, a new photo) are not listed. The newest corrections come first.
Seen something wrong? Use the report a problem form or the link at the foot of any guide page. How we check facts is explained in how we check and our editorial policy.
Log
-
Was: The museum near West India Quay was called the Museum of London Docklands.
Now: It now uses the museum's current name, London Museum Docklands. (source)
-
Was: The Leicester Square booth was called TKTS and described as selling only discounted same-day tickets.
Now: It is now named the Official London Theatre ticket booth (formerly TKTS), which sells on-the-day and advance tickets, some at a discount. (source)
-
Was: The Night Tube was described as running on unnamed "selected lines".
Now: The page names the lines and nights as TfL lists them, with the date we checked. (source)
-
Was: Airport journey times were undated and some did not match the airports' own pages (Stansted Express was given as about 47 minutes; a London City time had no source).
Now: Times now follow each airport's own page as read on Nov 1, 2026, with a link to the full, sourced arrival guide; the London City time was removed.
-
Was: The Phantom of the Opera was described as "now in its 40th year", a count that goes out of date every year.
Now: The listing gives the year it opened at His Majesty's Theatre instead.
-
Was: A London Marathon listing copied dates from a site whose terms forbid re-use of its content.
Now: The listing was removed; we only list events from organisers whose terms allow it. (source)
-
Was: A restaurant's website link pointed at a parked domain.
Now: The link was removed; the listing stays without a website.
-
Was: Hereford Road restaurant was listed although it has closed.
Now: The listing was removed.
-
Was: A restaurant's website now redirected to a gambling site.
Now: The listing was removed.
-
Was: A restaurant's website link pointed to a different, closed restaurant.
Now: The wrong link was removed; the restaurant stays without a website.
How reports become corrections
- You send a report from any page. It reaches the Britlens team; nothing is published automatically.
- We check the report against the official source for that fact, such as the venue's own website or a GOV.UK, TfL or National Rail page.
- If the page was wrong, we fix it and add a line here with the date. If we cannot confirm the report, the page stays as it is until we can.
