Grassmarket 是城堡岩下一座狭长的集市广场，旧时曾是公开处决的地方，如今两旁是酒吧、餐厅和独立小店。蜿蜒的 Victoria Street 从这里向上通往 George IV Bridge。
Old Town以南的Southside涵盖Greyfriars Kirkyard、National Museum of Scotland、大学的历史建筑和Meadows。这里适合逛博物馆、咖啡馆，也有不少适合学生的餐饮去处。
