Places listed on this page.
Free means general admission. Special exhibitions and events can be ticketed, some places ask you to book a free slot, and some suggest a donation. Check the venue before you go.
Every entry below is a visitor centre, country park, watermill and craft yard and museum in our the Jurassic Coast guide whose own website said, when we read it, that entry is free. We quote what the page said, link the page, and do not give opening hours, because they change. If a venue's page changes, we remove it at the next check.

Getting around the Jurassic Coast for less
Local transport: Morebus, First and the Jurassic Coaster. Visit Dorset says you can buy local bus tickets from the driver on the day without needing the exact money, while National Express coach tickets must be bought in advance. It names a Getting About Ticket for a day of travel across Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole, and says the Jurassic Coaster and Purbeck Breezer buses suit walkers on the South West Coast Path, who can ride one way and walk the other.
Fares and tickets: Visit Dorset: getting around (opens in new tab), Morebus (opens in new tab). Our getting around guide compares every destination.
