Workshops, small museums and a Georgian square in a working jewellery district

The Jewellery Quarter is a conservation area with over 200 listed buildings, where an estimated 40% of British jewellery is made. More than 100 independent jewellers and craftspeople work here, many with workshops, and the Birmingham Assay Office and the School of Jewellery are in the quarter.

Its small museums tell the story of local trades: a preserved jewellery workshop, a pen factory and the Newman Brothers coffin furniture works. St Paul's Square is the city's last Georgian square, and the Key Hill and Warstone Lane cemeteries are a short walk from the Chamberlain Clock.
