Is it operating?
The airport's page on the Highlands and Islands Airports site was read on Oct 25, 2026 and carries a 2026 notice.1
Into the city center
- Bus. The airport says Stagecoach routes 1 and 13 provide "regular direct services" between the terminal and Inverness city centre. Buses leave from the bus station, "a short walk from Inverness Railway Station", and Sunday service is reduced.2 Official page for Bus (opens in new tab)
- Train. ScotRail trains run from Inverness station to Inverness Airport station "with a journey time of approximately 11 minutes". The airport says you then walk about 20 minutes to the terminal along an uncovered path.2
- Taxi. The airport partners with Inverness Taxis and describes "a 20-minute journey to the city center".2
