Step-free access

• East Princes Street Gardens has step-free entrances from Princes Street (the gate between the galleries on the Mound) and at Waverley Bridge; the Market Street entrance leads to the south-side attractions. ^[2]
• On weekdays all gates are open with level access; at peak times crowds can block easy access, so ask a steward for the nearest route. ^[2]
• Temporary ramps may be steeper than 1:12. Ride operators decide on the day whether a ride is suitable. ^[2]
• Essential companions get a free ticket for ticketed events, and assistance dogs are welcome on the outdoor sites. ^[2]
