Choose between two
Compare destinations
Edinburgh or Glasgow? Cornwall or the Lake District? Each page puts two places side by side using only data we hold and source: what our guides list, Met Office climate averages, National Rail journey times and dated events. Then a plain "choose this if" for each.

How to read these pages
We do not rank places. Neither destination is "better". The pages show what differs in our data so you can match it to your trip.
Counts (sights, places to eat and stay, theatres) show how much we list, not how much exists. Climate figures come from one Met Office weather station per region, which may not sit in the town itself. We state no costs, because we have no sourced price data.
Deciding when rather than where? See where to go each month and month-by-month weather for every region. Moving between places: getting between regions. New destinations appear here as they are added to the guides.
Sources
Each page cites its own numbered sources: Met Office long-term averages, National Rail destination pages and GOV.UK bank holidays, plus our own region guides.
