A mini guide to
A riverside village, a botanic garden and Edinburgh's best-loved suburb
1 / 8Welcome to the area
Dean Village sits in a deep valley on the Water of Leith, just minutes from the West End. Old mill buildings, a weir and a footbridge give it the feel of a village hidden inside the city.
The riverside path leads downstream to Stockbridge, a neighbourhood of independent shops, cafés and a Sunday market. Further north are the Royal Botanic Garden and the galleries of modern art on Belford Road.
